Official sources in charge of the case told CBS that the 20 year old could have been influenced to commit the atrocities by some of the violent video games he spent long hour playing but also by a desire to outdo the infamous Norwegian serial killer: Anders Breivik.

Breivik killed 8 by detonating a bomb in the center of Oslo. He then traveled to a nearby island where he opened fire and killed 69 more, many of those were adolescents who were at summer camp.

Breivik gave himself up to police and said he committed the crimes to combat socialism and the immigration of Muslims in Norway. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison, but the sentence can be extended every five years.

According to excerpts of the Newtown investigation, it looks as though Lanza followed Breivik's lead in targetting a Sandy Hook, as it was an easy target with a mass of individuals.

Everything seems to indicate that Lanza finished his killing before he had planned to. Unlike with Breivik, who gave himself up, the 20 year old killed himself when police arrived at the school, but not before shooting at the officers in the parking lot.

The authorities have not released an official motive for why Lanza committed the murders, but sources told CBS that they've found evidence that Lanza was obsessed with Breivik.

Investigators have discoverde what they says is a "treasure" of video games in the basement of Lanza's home. They insists that he spent hours upon hours alone in his room, with the windows covered, perfecting his virtual shooting skills.

Marsha Moskowitz, a school bus driver, remembers Adam as "very timid and quiet, always silent. If I told him 'hello,' he'd say 'hello' and that was it." When he was in high school, Lanza would dress with khaki shorts and button-up shirts.
