Foto: thinkstockMiami police discovered a van filled with animals after a passersby reported strange noises that seemed to be screams of a child.
But inside the van were eight roosters, four guinea hens, four pigeons, four goats and one duck.
According to reports,the van was left in the middle of the lot with the engine off and the windows closed in the Miami heat.
Goats were found "tied up inside plastic bags," and when the bags were opened, one of the goats was dead.
Police charged Raul Armenteros, 46, and James Arroyo, 44, with 22 counts for animal cruelty after they admitted to being owners of the animals.
"All the animals in the van appeared to be in distress and lacking of water," police wrote in their report.
The two men and both are being heldin jail on $110,000 bond each.
The animals have been recovered by the Animal Control Center.
