Jan Brewer's debate against gubernatorial candidate Terry Goddard was not only awkward, but painful for viewers. Watch Jan Brewer and her timeless pauses and her angry question-snubbing after the jump. Two videos you must watch.
There is no doubt that Jan Brewer is a polarizing figure. When it comes to immigration and Arizona, there is no figure that stands out quite like her. Still, everyone on both sides of the issue can clearly say that Jan Brewer's horrendous debate was funny and painful.
As the debate kicked off Brewer gave the usual opening statement. What wasn't expected were the odd, never-ending pauses. She seemed so awkward in front of the camera that she squirms and giggles a bit. This isn't the first time we've seen her speak on camera, so why did she just freeze up all of a sudden? And if you think her introduction was bad, you'll never believe what she did to reporters for their usual questioning.
One crucial point in Brewer's debate was tying Terry Goddard to the unions that called for boycotts on Arizona and it's products, which she claims is a direct reason why their economy is not doing well. Terry Goddard denied supporting any of the boycotts, but did say that the economic downturn stemmed from Jan Brewer's crazy statements. Brewer claims that the violence in Arizona is so bad that there are beheadings in the desert. When pressed by the matter Brewer side-stepped the question. It wasn't until reporters asked again that she completely ignored them and went on talking about the night like a crazy person.
Jan Brewer gets two thumbs way down for her terrible debate debacle and for snubbing reporters. What do you think of her 'interesting night'?
