
Faux news host Stephen Colbert isn't the onlycomedian with a super PAC connection. Politicalsatirist Bill Maher is getting into the act bysurprising a political committee that supportsPresident Barack Obama with a $1 million pledge.
Maher announced Thursday night on a Yahoo stand-upspecial, "CrazyStupidPolitics" that he was giving $1million to Priorities USA Action. Maher joinsDreamworks Animation executive Jeffrey Katzenbergand the Service Employees International Union as thecommittee's million-dollar-plus funders.
Priorities USA Action was not immediately availablefor comment.
Colbert created and funded a super PAC as tosatirize the unfettered flow of corporate and unionfunds into political campaigns. More than half ofthe $60 million donated to groups supporting Obamaand his GOP presidential rivals has come in million-dollar-plus donations.
